Project Description
The project involved the development of a 10-acre site for 95 room Hampton Inn hotel, two restaurants and a convenience store facility located at Exit 21 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 72. The improvements included construction of additional turn lanes, adjacent driveway modifications, and installation of traffic signals at the intersection.
Services Rendered
In addition to site planning services for the 10-acre property, ELA prepared Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Highway Occupancy Permit plans for the site access, extensive roadway improvements to Route 72 and intersection signalization. The roadway and intersection improvements included joint coordination with the Turnpike Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Rapho Township and adjoining property owners.
