Project Description
Project Start Date: July 2005
Project Completion Date: August 2006
Construction Cost: $5.4 Million
Surfacing: Natural Turf
The West Chester Area School District recognized the need for additional athletic fields but the high school was mostly landlocked. After lengthy negotiations, the school district acquired 25 acres at the northern end of the school district along Pottstown Pike.
ELA Sport served as primary lead designer on this project which included a two-story Field House, parking lots, two multi-purpose fields and two softball fields. The project also required design of extensive retaining walls, roadway widening and water line extensions.
This project was completed in conjunction with an adjacent township park where the plans included both sites through the land development and construction process. ELA facilitated coordination between the school district and many township consultants.
