Project Description
Iron Valley Golf Club is an eighteen hole public golf course developed on approximately 350 acres of the former Bethlehem Iron Ore Mine (No. 4 & 5) located adjacent to Miner's Village and Boyd Street in Cornwall Borough. Iron Valley Golf Club, with its unique course layout and setting in the landscape, is well known as one of Pennsylvania's best public golf courses.
Services Rendered
ELA Group prepared feasibility
reports and site Master Plan including preparation of preliminary
course routing plans, slope analysis, and development cost
analysis. ELA worked closely with renowned golf course architect
P.B. Dye on the Master Plan and course routing alternatives.
ELA provided site planning and engineering services, which
included traffic impact studies. ELA represented the project
throughout the local municipal approval process working closely
with municipal and county officials to obtain final subdivision
and land development approvals. ELA coordinated approval of
permits for erosion and sediment control, wetland mitigation,
encroachment, on-lot sanitary sewer, dam improvements/construction
and storm water discharges to waters of the Commonwealth.
