Project Completion Date: June 2009
Construction Cost: $3.8 Million
Field Area: 200,500 s.f.

Jack Stadium was a dated synthetic turf field used for Football, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Men’s and Women’s Soccer. After consulting with ELA Group, Lock Haven University decided that it was necessary to replace the synthetic turf at Jack Stadium and rededicate the field’s uses to accommodate only Football and Men’s and Women’s Soccer.
McCollum Field was an existing natural grass field on Lock Haven’s campus. In addition to the Jack Stadium Renovations, the University determined that McCollum field was to be converted to synthetic turf and reserved for Field Hockey and Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse.
ELA Group provided site engineering and planning for both the Jack Stadium Field replacement and the McCollum Field upgrade. The Jack Stadium field replacement included the upgrade of the sub-base, perimeter drainage and the track service repairs. The McCollum Field upgrade included the design and implementation of the field under-drain system, base and perimeter construction, E-layer specifications, and the field layout for Field Hockey and Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse.
