Project Description
Cornwall Manor is expanding
their existing retirement community campus. The Woods at Cornwall
Manor will be situated on an adjacent 109-acre parcel of preserved
natural features and reclaimed lands from historic quarrying
operations. It will contain 188 retirement living units, a
community center, and a health-care center providing assisted
living units and skilled care. A major focus of planning efforts
was preservation of the natural site characteristics. Wetlands
and Woodlands were preserved to a maximum extent. Homes were
clustered in neighborhood-scale groupings. A new regional
trail runs through the center of "The Woods," providing active
residents with walking, bicycling and horseback riding recreation,
and will be linked to a new community pond for passive enjoyment.

ELA Group Inc.'s services included Master Planning, Conservation Planning, Land Development Planning, Traffic Engineering and Development Permitting for this site development project. ELA also provided promotional assistance to Cornwall Manor for this expanded retirement community.
