Project Description
In 2005-2006, ELA Group
assisted Community Planning Consultants (CPC) with the Update
to the Lititz/Warwick Joint Strategic Comprehensive Plan.
In addition to participating in and facilitating various aspects
of the Update, ELA Group guided the Community Charette Process
for purposes of developing the framework for a possible Specific
Plan for the expansion of the Warwick Township Campus Industrial
Area. During the two-day planning charette, a total of 27
landowners and community representatives explored the purpose
of a Specific Plan, then participated in the development of
a Consensus Concept Plan, Sketch Plan, and Guiding Principles
for the approximately 400-acre Study Area. The results of
this Community Charette will inform a future strategy for
the further development and implementation of a Specific Plan
for this portion of the Lititz/Warwick Region.
Services Rendered
ELA Group provided all planning and background data necessary for the Community Charette, along with presentations, graphics, and discussions regarding the components of a Specific Plan, as provided for in the Municipalities Planning Code (MPC). ELA Group was assisted by CPC in the facilitation of specific design and plan determinants, which ELA Group then placed in graphic form. In preparing final graphics and reports on the Charette, ELA Group has provided the foundation for a well-conceived Specific Plan that the Township could adopt in the future.
